Monitor All Your Facebook and Instagram Ad Engagement with ONE TOOL
Whether you’re running Facebook Ads for your own business, or managing multiple Facebook and Instagram ad accounts for clients, there’s one massive problem:
You can’t see the comments natively.
On a normal Facebook or Instagram post, if someone leaves a comment, you’ll get a notification on the platform or within your social media management tool. You can then tap that notification, read the comment, and reply like normal.
But, let’s say you created a post within Ads Manager as an ad for your business. That post is considered a “dark social” post – while it technically exists on the platform, it wasn’t shared as an organic post to your page or profile’s timeline. As a result, it doesn’t generate notifications like a normal post. You will never see it or any comments or shares in your notification window, whether on desktop or the mobile app.
In fact, if you’re using a social media management tool like Hootsuite or Sprout Social, you won’t see engagement there either.
Now, it is possible to look for those posts and see whether you got any engagement using Ads Manager:
- Go to Ads Manager.
- At the Ad level, check the box next to your chosen ad, then click Edit (under the ad name) to open the side pane.
- Click the open preview icon above your ad preview on the right.
- In the drop down menu, under See post, select Facebook post with comments or Instagram post with comments.
- Facebook/Instagram will open listing your posts with people’s reactions.
And just repeat that.
For every… single… ad.
Um, seriously, Facebook? I have to find each ad, open from within Ad Manager, just to see if there are any comments, let alone respond to them?
There must be a better way.
Enter Agorapulse.
That’s right! The #1 rated social media management tool – and my own personal favorite – makes this super easy for you.
Once you’ve added your Facebook Page or Instagram profile to Agorapulse, and connected your Ad Account, any comments on any ads you’re running will show up in your Inbox right alongside your normal comments!
Like, Reply, Assign and Review comments swiftly and easily – all from one screen, without having to click back and forth.
Just open your Agorapulse app, select your Facebook Page, and your Inbox tab will include all comments automatically.
But wait, there’s more!
What If I’m Managing Multiple Client Ad Accounts?
Let’s suppose that I have ads running for The Social Media Hat, as well as ads running for my daughter’s school, Living Word Christian School, and I want to monitor comments on those ads?
Every time you add a Facebook Page or Instagram Profile, you’ll have a unique Settings panel for that profile and an Ad Account tab. When there, you can authenticate your ad profile and then see a drop down list of every ad account you have access to! This enables you to assign specific ad accounts to specific social profiles.
And since the list is a checkbox list, you can assign Multiple Ad Accounts to the same social profile!
I know some of you have been dying to have this feature so let me say it again: you can monitor comments on all your ads, even across more than one ad account, all from the same social profile’s Inbox.
The Inbox then works exactly as usual. Any new comments will be synced and your social profile notification number will tick up by 1 so you know there’s something to review. Once you’ve looked at a comment you can choose to like, reply, or assign it, and then mark it as reviewed so that you or your team doesn’t keep seeing the same comment. (Reviewed comments can still be accessed easily within the All tab.)
If you have the Advanced Inbox feature turned on, each time you reply to a comment Agorapulse will automatically review that comment and whisk you to the next comment to review, saving you more clicks and time.
You can even have Saved Replies available for the most commonly asked questions.
So, clearly, if you’ve been ignoring comments on ads, or wasting all kinds of time clicking through all of your ads in Ad Manager (then opening other ad accounts and doing it all over again), this tool is going to be a lifesaver for you. Go ahead and sign yourself up with a free trial of Agorapulse and give it a test run, with two free months on me. You won’t be disappointed.
