Pinterest, the social image and content sharing network, has released an update to their mobile and service which allows users to create up to 3 secret boards. This allows users to pin images and content strictly for themselves, where images pinned to one of their normal boards would immediately be visible to any of the user’s friends who are following them or that specific board.
This update brings a much-needed piece of functionality to Pinterest as many users have been clamoring for a way to make some pins private.
The mobile update, version 2.1, also allows users to block or report other users. Additionally, users can now edit a board directly from their mobile device.
In August, Pinterest added an Android app to compliment the iPhone app, as well as added an iPad version. In October, Pinterest added te ability for brands to verify their website (by uploaded a small HTML file).
